Ooty is famous not only for the lofty mountains, pristine beauty and
innocence, but for its Nilgiri mountain railways. If we say the trip to Ooty
is incomplete without the train ride, we are not wrong. Travelling amidst
the hills and crossing 208 curves, 16 tunnels and 250 bridges in 46 km
journey is a novel experience taking a traveller back to the heritage of
past.
Day 01 : Arrive Chennai
Arrive Chennai. Our representative will meet you at the airport and
transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hotel
Day 02 : Chennai - Ooty
Full day city tour of Chennai visiting Marina Beach, The St. George Fort,
built in 1653, is currently used as the state government's secretariat,
Santhome Cathedral was built around 14th/15th century and is another
colonial structure worth visiting. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the
Kapaleeshwara Temple is the oldest temple in Chennai. Another important
temple in the city dedicated to Lord Krishna is Parthasarthy Temple. Evening
transfer to Railway Station to connect Train # 2671 Nilagiri Express for
Ooty dep. 21:00 hrs. Overnight on board.
Day 03 : Ooty
Arrive Mettupalayam at 06:15 hrs. Connect Toy Train # 662 dep. 07:10 hrs /
arrive Ooty at 12:00 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon free for
leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 04 : Ooty
Ooty is one of the famous hill stations in southern part of India. Full day
free to explore the city. Places of interest are Botanical Garden, Kandal
Cross Shrine, Mini Garden and Rose Garden, Ooty Lake etc. Overnight in
Hotel.
Day 05 : Ooty
Full day free to explore the hill station. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 06 : Ooty - Mysore

Drive
to Mysore (130 kms / 4 hrs). Afternoon visit the famous Brindavan Garden (19
kms. from Mysore) duly illuminated. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 : Mysore
Full day city tour visiting Maharaja's Palace (One of the biggest in the
country) Chamarejendra Art Gallery, Nandi (Bull Vehicle of Shiva), Huge
figure of Demon Mahishasura, Govt. Silk Factory, Govt. Sandelwood Oil
factory etc. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 : Mysore - Bangalore
Morning drive to Bangalore (140 kms / 3 hrs). Check into hotel. Afternoon
City tour of Bangalore visiting the Lalbagh (Botanical Gardens extending
over 240 acres, Bull temple which was built in the Dravidian Style. Tipu's
Palace which was the summer residence of Tipu Sultan. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 09 : Bangalore Out
Morning transfer to the airport to board flight for onward destination.
