Delhi
The rail trail towards the heartland of India, Madhya Pradesh comprises the
most visited destination in India. Beginning from the capital city, Delhi,
the tour moves on to the royalty of Jaipur. Further towards the east, the
journey moves on to the victory city of Fatehpur Sikri alongside the
crowning glory of India
Agras Taj Mahal.
The trip moves further to the central India through Jhansi, the city of
courage and legends. From there, the trip proceeds to the apogee of Indian
heritage Khajuraho popularly known as Kamasutra Temples. The heritage
trail then moves to the oldest inhabited Varanasi the city of Ghats
on the banks of the Virgin River Ganga.
Day 01 : Delhi
Arrive Delhi meet and assist at the airport. Transfer to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 02 : Delhi
After breakfast full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, visiting
Jama Masjid, the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Jantar
Mantar, Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Qutub Minar and the House of
Parliament. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 03 :Delhi - Jaipur
Morning transfer to the railway station to catch the train to Jaipur by
Train # 2015 Ajmer Shatabdi dep. 06:10 hrs and arr. 10:45 hrs. Upon arrival
transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Pink city including Hawa
Mahal, City Palace, Birla Mandir, Jai Singh's Observatory and stroll through
the busy bazaars. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Jaipur Fatehpur Sikri Agra
After breakfast visit Amber Fort on elephant back / Jeep. Amber Fort was
the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of
Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon drive to Agra i.e. 232 kms or 5
hrs drive. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the old Mughal capital still
preserved in good condition. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 05 :Agra
After breakfast visit Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders of world, Agra Fort
and Itmad-ud-Daula. Evening is free for leisure or you can explore the local
market by your own. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 06 : Agra Jhansi Khajuraho
After breakfast transfer to the railway station to catch the train to
Jhansi by Train # 2002 Bhopal Shatabdi dep. 08:17 hrs and arr. 10:43 hrs.
Upon arrival transfer by car to Khajuraho i.e. 190 kms or 4 hrs drive
visiting Orchha en route. Khajuraho is famous for its 10th century Chandela
dynasty temples and their erotic sculpture. On arrival transfer to hotel.
Later city tour of Khajuraho temple complex. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 07 : Khajuraho Varanasi
After breakfast Morning visit the temples which are famous for erotic
sculptures. Afternoon transfer to airport to catch flight for Varanasi,
flight 9W # 724 dep. at 13:30 hrs and arr. 14:10 hrs. Upon arrival transfer
to hotel. Varanasi is most important place of pilgrimage for Hindus and the
sight of devout praying standing water deep in Ganges. Evening visit river
Ganga Ghat to attend the holy Aarti. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 08 :Varanasi

Early
Morning boat tour on River Ganges to visit Bathing Ghats, return to hotel
for breakfast. City tours of Varanasi visiting various temples and noted
Banaras Hindu University. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath. It was here that
the Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon and set in motion the wheel of
law of Buddhist faith. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 09 : Varanasi Delhi
After breakfast day is free for leisure. Evening transfer to the railway
station to catch the train to Delhi by Train # 2559 Shiv Ganga Exp dep.
19:15 hrs. Overnight on board.
Day 10 : Delhi
Arrive Delhi at 07:30 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the International
Airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
