Chiselled with the time itself, the itinerary to Mumbai, Ajanta – Ellora Tour presents the exploration of Deccan heritage in a way never done before. The trail cruises towards famous Elephanta Caves and other Victorian heritage sites in the port city of Mumbai. Next morning, through a scenic rail trail, the tour reaches Aurangabad, the city of caves. In its concluding phase, the tour moves to the heritage exploration of famous rock cut caves of Ajanta and Ellora.

Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai (Bombay)
Arrive Mumbai. You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 : Mumbai
After breakfast, morning cruise across the harbour (9 kms) to see Elephanta Caves noted for its huge rock cuts. Afternoon tour of Mumbai city. Main attractions are Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill offering a panoramic view of Marine drive, Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive & Flora Fountain. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03 : Mumbai - Aurangabad
Morning transfer to the railway-station to board the train # 7617 Tapovan Exp dep at 06:10 hrs and arr at 13:15 hrs. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit the Aurangabad Caves, excavated between the 2nd and 6th century AD, they reflect tantric influences in their iconography and architectural designs. Also visit and Daulatabad Fort, this magnificent 12th century fortress stands on a hill just 13 kms. from Aurangabad. One of the world's best preserved fort of medieval times, surviving virtually unaltered, Daulatabad yet displays the character that made it invincible. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04 : Aurangabad
Mahaparinirvana Sculpture at Ajanta  Morning excursion to Ajanta Caves, Ajanta is situated at a distance of 99 Kms and 03 hrs drive from the Aurangabad city. Ajanta is famous for paintings and sculptures, considered as master pieces of Buddhist religious art. Back to Aurangabad, overnight stay at the hotel. (Ajanta Caves remains closed on Mondays).

Day 05 : Aurangabad - Mumbai (train)
After breakfast, excursion to Ellora Caves situated 30 Kms from Aurangabad, Ellora houses the several uninterrupted monuments, dating back to 600 to 1000 A.D.The caves brings the ancient Indian civilization to life. Later transfer to the railway-station to board the train # 7618 Tapovan Exp dep at 14:40 hrs and arr at 22:05 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the International Airport to board the flight for onward destination. (Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays).
