Day 01 (Mon) : Arrive Mumbai
Arrive Mumbai meet and assist at the Airport then transfer to Hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 02 (Tue) : Mumbai
Morning cruise across the harbour (9 kms) to see Elephanta Caves noted for
its huge rock cuts. Afternoon tour of Mumbai city. Main attractions are
Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill
offering a panoramic view of Marine drive, Chowpatty Beach, Mani Bhawan,
Dhobi Ghat, Gateway of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine
Drive & Flora Fountain. Overnight in Hotel
Day 03 (Wed) : Depart Bombay Deccan Odyssey
Luxury Train
After breakfast morning is free. Evening transfer to Chhatrapati Shivaji
Terminus Mumbai to board the Deccan Odyssey dep. at 16:40 hrs.
Day 04 (Thu) : Ratnagiri Ganapatiphule
Jaigadh
Morning - Alight at Ratnagiri Railway Station. Departure by AC bus for
Ratnagiri Town excursion. Over view of Thibaw Palace where Thibaw, the last
King of Burma was incarcerated by British. The next stop is Bhatye view
point to watch scenic beauty of Bhatye coast. Pass through the landmarks of
town, local markets and brief visit to the memorial of India's greatest
freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak. Proceed to Ganapatipule Beach. Ratnagiri is
a land of Alphonso mango. On way visit to see Mango, Cashew Nut, Mud Apple
and Coconut plantation made on black solid rock. Resume journey through tiny
villages to Ganapatiphule Beach resort. Ganapatiphule a beach bathed in
golden sunshine. Laze around the golden sands or explore many trails that
lead from the beach. Lunch & free time at Ganapatiphule beach resort.
Noon (Optional): Tuk-Tuk ride in and around Malgund a small typical coastal
village and the native place of the famous poet, Keshav Sut. Visit to
memorial of poet; see traditional houses, 150 year old primary school and
Lord Ganesha Temple. Late in the afternoon proceed to Jaigadh Jetty for
backwater cruise around the 17th century historical fort Jaigadh and Konkan
villages alongside of the fort. Board the bus for Ratnagiri railway station.
Arrive in Train. Dinner onboard.
Day 05 (Fri) : Sindhudurg Tarkarli Backwaters
Sawantwadi
Morning - Alight at the Sindhudurg Nagari Railway station. Departure by AC
Bus to Malvan Jetty to witness Sindhudurg the Ocean Fort & one time
naval base of Maratha empire. >From jetty proceed to Tarkarli beach
resort. Tarkarli a virgin beach at the confluence to river Karli and Arabian
Sea. Lunch & free time at Tarkarli beach resort.
Next, romantic Back Water Cruise through the Tarkarli creek up to Walaval
Jetty. Visit to ancient village temple of Laxmi Narayana, followed by visit
to Sawantwadi town by A.C bus to witness fabulous lacquer handicrafts,
paintings and furniture at the "Shilpagrama" the art & craft
centre in the town. Watch cultural programme performed by local artist. Late
in the evening board the train at Sawantwadi railway station. Dinner on
board.
Day 06 (Sat) : Goa
Morning arrival at Karmali - Goa. The most frequented tourist spots in
India. Board the bus to reach Old Goa to witness; the ruins of St. Augustine
Church once largest cathedral in Goa. Basilica of Bom Jesus, this is 16th
Century Church, the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier is enshrined here.
Se Cathedral and the Church of St. Francis of Assissi that began as a mosque
but now is an archaeological museum for Goan antiques. Visit to Fontanhas
the Latin quarters at Panjim. Departure to Hotel. Lunch & Free time on
the beach. Evening board the train from Madgaon railway station. Dinner on
board.
Day 07 (Sun) : Kolhapur Pune
Morning - Arrival at Kolhapur City, known as Karveer or Dakshin Kashi of
Maharashtra. Situated on the banks of river Panchaganga. Board the bus to
visit;
New Palace, a royal palace partly converted into museum, Bhawani Mandap
(The Town Hall) witness traditional Martial Art locally known as "Mardani
Khel", An exquisitely carved Mahalaxmi Temple a temple of goddess
Ambabai visited by millions of pilgrims, Shalini Palace built of intricately
carved black stone & Italian Marble stands on the west side of lake
Rankala, watch cultural programme and visit to handicraft stalls for perfect
memorabilia. At noon board the train at Kolhapur station to depart for Pune.
Lunch on board. Leisure time till evening. Evening arrive at Pune. Board the
bus to visit Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, houses variety of artifacts of the
17th, 18th & 19th Centuries. Board the train from Pune railway station.
Dinner on board.
Day 08 (Mon) : Aurangabad Ellora Caves
Morning Arrival at Daulatabad station. Proceed by road to visit; Majestic
fort Daulatabad. Next stop is Ellora caves, a World Heritage site, having 34
cave temples dedicated to three different religion - Hinduism, Buddhism &
Jainism. Lunch & free time. After lunch move on to see; Bibi-ka-Maqbara,
a replica of Taj Mahal is a grand piece of Moghul architecture. Optional:
Back to train. Free time for shopping Paithani, Himroo, Bidriwork from
showrooms for a perfect memorabilia. Evening board the train from Aurangabad
railway station. Dinner on board.
Day 09 (Tue) : Jalgaon Ajanta Caves
Nasik
Morning - Arrival at Jalgaon railway station. Board the bus to reach Ajanta
Caves. Renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta are World Heritage Site. Witness
some of the finest paintings and sculptures of the second century AD.
'Bodhisattva Padmapani', 'Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara', The Birth of the
Buddha' & 'Thousand Buddha's are a few amongst the many fine murals &
sculptures. At noon board train at Jalgaon railway station. Proceed to
Nashik. Lunch on board. Leisure Time onboard till evening. Alight at
Nashik Road railway station to board the bus for departure to Panchawati
Ghat a holy place known for Kumbh Mela. Next, visit to Kala Ram Temple built
in 1794. Evening board the train at Nasik railway station. Farewell dinner
on-board.
Day 10 (Wed) : Mumbai
Morning - Arrival at CST - at around 07.30 hrs. Breakfast is served on
board. Upon arrival transfer to the Airport to board the flight for Delhi by
IT # 333 dep. 10:00 hrs and arr. 12:00 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the
hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 11 (Fri) : Delhi Jaipur
After breakfast morning drive to Jaipur 252 kms / 5 hrs. Arrive Jaipur and
transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Pink city including Hawa
Mahal, City Palace, Birla Mandir, Jai Singh's Observatory and stroll through
the busy bazaars. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12 (Sat) : Jaipur
After breakfast visit Amber Fort on elephant back / Jeep. Amber Fort was
the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of
Victory glittering with mirrors. Evening you may explore the Local Colorful
markets of Jaipur by own. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 (Sun) : Jaipur Fatehpur Sikri
Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra (232 kms / 5 hrs) Enroute visiting Fatehpur
Sikri, the old Mughal capital still preserved in good condition. Upon
arrival transfer to the hotel. rest fo the day is free for leisure.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 14 (Mon) : Agra Delhi
After breakfast morning visit Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders of world,
Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daula. and drive to Delhi (203 kms / 4 hrs). Upon
arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel. (Taj Mahal is closed
on all Fridays)
Day 15 (Tue) : Delhi Out
After breakfast full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, visiting
Jama Masjid, the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Jantar
Mantar, India Gate, Qutub Minar and the House of Parliament. Later transfer
to the Airport to board the flight for onward destination.
