DAY 1: WEDNESDAY, Mumbai - Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus - Departure in the evening 16.40 hrs. towards Kudal
Reach the world heritage site Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station at 14.40 hrs. in order to enjoy a royal Maratha reception and complete the paperwork formalities in time. Board the Deccan Odyssey train and marvel in surprise the plush setting of the royal Marathas established throughout the ambience. The aristocratic experience aboard the luxury train is sure to make a traveller feel a part of magnificent Maratha royalty.

DAY 2: THURSDAY, Kudal Railway Station - Arrival 07:30 hrs. - Sindhudurg - 9:30 hrs. - 11:30 hrs. , Tarkarli - 12:00 hrs. - 15:00 hrs. (Lunch and Leisure) - Backwater Cruise in Karli River - Cashew Factory - 15:30 hrs. - 17:30 hrs. - Board the Deccan Odyssey - 18.15 hrs.
Begin in escapade of Day 2 during Deccan Odyssey with a fortifying breakfast. Upon arrival at Kudal Railway Station, detrain for the day's excursion in Malavan, a cultural and historical town in Sindhudurg district through on-road journey. Often termed as the naturally bestowed land, this day comes with a promise of naturally wonderful excursion for the passengers. Upon arrival at Malavan Pier, step in the boat jetty to visit the Ocean Fort at Sindhudurg. The waves here caress the monstrous Sindhudurg Fort on the offshore island. Constructed during 1664-67, this massive and impregnable citadel was built by the great Chhatrapati Shivaji. The footprints of this iconic Maratha ruler can be found in one of the turrets above the entrance. The fort walls spread over 3 km area was once a naval base for Marathas. Presently the fort complex accommodates a village and several temples in its vicinity.
The highlights of the fort feature three sweet water reservoirs in the complex. Tourists can walk on the two-mile long rampart walls and watch the breathtaking view of the vast open sea. Return to the jetty 11:30 hrs. and proceed to Tarkarli beach resort. This beach is a virgin paradise allowing tourists to bask in the balmy allure of Konkani beaches. Relish a relaxed lunch of Malwani cuisine at the resort based on 20 'Konkani' style cottages.
Rest of the time is free to relax in this brimming beach destination. In the evening, begin a Tarkarli Backwater cruise and visit the Cashew factory of Dhamapur. Dinner and overnight onboard.
DAY 3: FRIDAY, Karmali Railway Station, Goa - Arrival-07:30 hrs. - 09:15 hrs.
Begin day 3 with a refreshing breakfast as one is transported to Goa, the holidays heaven in India. This is one of the most frequented tourist destinations in India with an invigorating freshness in its soul. Detrain for sightseeing via overland journey for Old Goa sightseeing at 07:30 hrs. . Visit the world heritage sites under Convents and Churches of Goa including St. Augustine Church, Se Cathedral Church, St.Francis of Assissi and Basilica of Bom Jesus Church. As a continuation to explore the Portuguese legacy of Goa, visit the Museum of Goan antiques and Fontanhas, the heritage Latin Quarters at Panjim.
Return to Deccan Odyssey for lunch and afternoon rest at Verna Railway Station. At 16:00 hrs. this evening, leave the luxury train for a cultural night and dinner in Goa's beachside hotel. Post dinner, depart for Madgaon Railway Station. Leave Goa for the day at 20.45 hrs for an overnight halt at Vasco Railway Station.
DAY 4: SATURDAY Vasco, Goa, Mangeshi Temple 09:00 hrs. - Depart 11.15 hrs. - Safa Masjid - 12:15 hrs. - Sahakari Spice Farm in Ponda - 16:00 hrs. -16:40 hrs. - Menezes Braganza House - 17:00 hrs. - 17:30 hrs - Madgaon - Departure Kolhapur 20:00 hrs.
Begin day 4 with another escapade towards the hidden side of Goa. After breakfast onboard, de-train the Deccan Odyssey for the experiential day in the smallest state of India. Explore the cultural harmony of Goa in the form of visiting a Hindu temple, Mangeshi in Goa and Safa Masjid, a prominent Islamic shrine in Ponda. Built in 1560 by Ibrahim Adil Shah, the Sultan of Bijapur, this Islamic shrine was not destroyed during Portuguese rule.
Continue explore Ponda with a visit to the Sahakari Spice Farms. Here, one can easily enjoy the spice of life with numerous organic spice cultivations. Spend 45 minutes in this farm to get hold over the first hand knowledge of spice plantations. After the tour is over, relish the spicy blend of Traditional Goan Style Lunch at the farm only.
Post this experience; proceed towards, Menezes Braganza House at Chandor village. This is a 16th century heritage house, the biggest of its kind in Goa transporting the visitors to the old world charm of Goa. Later, return to Deccan Odyssey at Madgaon Railway Station at 17:00 hrs. Departure for Kolhapur at 17:30 hrs. Dinner onboard from 20:00 hrs onwards. Overnight on board.
DAY 5: SUNDAY Kolhapur - Daulatabad
After breakfast onboard, de-train Deccan Odyssey at Kolhapur Railway Station for overland journey towards sightseeing of New Palace and Mahalaxmi Temple. Later visit Bhawani Mandap to witness the Mardani Khel Martial Arts performance. Continue experiencing the essence of Kolhapur via Town Hall Museum and MTDC Handicraft Stalls. Visit Hotel Pavilion for cultural program as passengers bid adieu to Kolhapur at 12.45 hrs. and return to Deccan Odyssey at 13:20 hrs.
Leave for Daulatabad / Aurangabad at 13:40 hrs via Pune. Lunch and leisure time on board this finest luxury train of Maharashtra. Enjoy dinner serving at Peshwa Restaurants I and II from 20:00 hrs onwards. Stop for detraining and entraining at Pune Railway Station. At 21:45 hrs; depart for Daulatabad / Aurangabad via overnight onboard journey.
DAY 6: MONDAY - Arrival Daulatabad station
As one arrives at Daulatabad Station, enjoy the breakfast onboard and detrain for local sightseeing of Islamic heritage by A/C coach. Visit Daulatabad Fort and Ellora Caves, a World Heritage Site. Around 12:30 hrs, move towards Aurangabad for lunch. Enjoy a hearty lunch and free time at the hotel till 15:00 hrs. Post lunch session, leave for the local sightseeing of Aurangabad, the city established by the last prominent Mughal ruler, Aurangzeb. Visit Bibi-Ka-Maqbara, the simplistic replication of Taj Mahal in Deccan. After the sightseeing, rest of the time is free for shopping. At 17:30 hrs., return to Deccan Odyssey for an onward journey towards Jalgaon. Enjoy free time onboard with a variety of leisure options in the sumptuously attractive train. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 7: TUESDAY MORNING - Arrival Jalgaon railway station 7:00 AM
Begin the Day 7 with an early breakfast and alight the train at Jalgaon Railway Station for an excursion towards another ancient cave complex, Ajanta Caves at 07:30 hrs. This is a world heritage site known for its intricate wall murals and stone sculptures. The cave complex is basically dedicated Hindu, Buddhist and Jain ideologies. At 12:45, return to the Deccan Odyssey for an onward journey towards Nashik, another spiritual city of Deccan. Enjoy lunch & leisure time on board. Upon arrival at Nasik station, begin a group excursion towards the sacred Panchwati Ghats and ancient temples. Return to the Deccan Odyssey at Deolali Railway Station at 19.30 hrs. Dinner and overnight stay onboard for a journey towards the end point of Deccan Odyssey train tour in Mumbai.
DAY 8: WEDNESDAY MORNING - Arrival at CST - Mumbai.
Bid adieu to The Deccan Odyssey Train with the dazzling experiences that will be with the passenger for the whole lifetime.

ii) 80% of ticket value 30 days before departure of the tour.
Cancellation Policy :
i) Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Fax/E-mail & subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division at Head Office, Mumbai.
ii) Value of Ticket to be retained by MTDC on cancellation will be as follows:
a) 5% of ticket value 60 days prior to the departure.
b) 20% of Ticket Value 30-59 days prior to the departure.
c) 50% of ticket value 15-29 days prior to the departure.
d) 100% of ticket value 14 or less days prior to the departure.
iii) No refund or adjustment will be made in the event of interruption of journey by a tourist on his own after the commencement of the tour.
